We do not breed regularly, but wait until we want to keep a puppy for ourselves. We put much thought and consideration when considering a sires for our girls. Longevity is a crucial factor, and we examine pedigrees carefully.
Our goal is to breed wonderful family and hunting companions. We want to produce versatile dogs who can excel in the breed ring, obedience trials, agility, field work, or the many other venues.
These are termed “high drive” dogs. We exercise our dogs with off-leash hikes almost daily, and also train for field or obedience several times weekly. The dogs thrive on the amount of exercise they get. Flatcoats need mental and physical stimulation. Without it, they can become naughty, exhibiting poor behaviors such as barking, digging, or ripping/destroying household furnishings.
We intend to breed Glory in fall of 2024. At that time, she will be 3 1/2 years old. At this time we have not chosen a sire for her, but are anticipating a boy who will compliment her drive and willingness to work in the field and obedience.
Glory is a willing partner in obedience and field. She has a lot of drive and wants to work. Daily. She would rather swim than walk, and has never met a body of water she doesn’t like. She’s very funny and entertains us daily, whether she is singing the Perry Mason theme song, the fire engine song, or begging us to play.
